Digital Historical Inquiry Project

Project Director for U.S. Dept. of Ed. FIPSE grant. $500,665. The Project is an effort to create and grow a consortium of schools and colleges of education interested in promoting historical inquiry in the preparation of preservice social studies teachers. The Consortium will produce innovative programs of study that allow social studies teachers to learn the methods of digital historical inquiry and implement those methods in their teaching experiences.

Design, development, and co-authoring of interactive lesson on the Doppler Effect. Includes digital video, flash movies and Java applets.

 

Social Studies Meets Technology: Reflections of a First-Year Teacher

Design, development, online adaptation and co-authoring of teaching case study. Case study has been used in social studies methods courses at University of Virginia, University of Florida, University of South Florida and San Diego State University.

EDLF 345, Introduction to Educational Technology

Course coordinator of preservice technology course offered at University of Virginia, 1998-2001. Content-specific sections started 1998. Named Curry School Outstanding Teaching Assistant two years in a row, 2000 and 2001.
